White jeans is one of those summer staples that will never go out of fashion. It’s a wardrobe classic, and one that can be worn in many ways – you can dress it up for brunch, or go formal with a plain tank and blazer, or just be casual and carefree, enjoying the sun, paired with a loose floral top. The possibilities are endless!
To be honest, I had trouble finding the right pair for me and it took time, a LONG time. It’s something about white jeans, it can highlight your flaws very easily – it’s usually the case with anything white – it highlights the flaws but also brings beauty to it, in a weird sort of way. I am of average build and have wide hips and it wasn’t very easy to find a pair that did my frame justice. It’s also a lot about the fabric – if it’s too light it can be transparent and if it’s too thick it can make your legs look broad. You can see that I have clearly spent some time thinking about this 😉
It was when I went shopping in Kolkata and visited the Vero Moda store that I tried on this pair of jeans. It was perfect, and I have to say I’m really impressed with their denim collection, but not their prices. With jeans it’s really about what suits your body – these pair of white jeans are mid rise, straight fit and finish off right at the ankles – for someone like me who doesn’t have the tonest (?) of bodies, it’s perfect. I don’t think a low rise, slim fit white pair of jeans would have left me feeling very comfortable. Moral of the story is, know your body, understand your frame, and pick clothes accordingly – if you do that, you’ll enjoy wearing those pieces of clothing again and again instead of resorting to buying multiple pieces in your wardrobe and never really feeling comfortable in them.
Coming to the first look I put together for this blog post –

Jeans – Vero Moda, Top – Zara, Coat – H&M, Bag – Bata, Heels – Old
WHITE ON WHITE
I love white and more of it makes me very happy! Also, I’ve never done a winter look on my blog before, so I was really excited to put something together for the colder season even though I know it’s not really winter in India right now. This look is simple, I paired a formal white top with the jeans and keeping with the natural palette, went with a camel coat and nude shoes. I love how the camel coat pulls the look together, and very selfishly becomes the highlight of the look 🙂
I’m in love with gold accessories at the moment, so going with the mood of the season, I layered some dainty necklaces and added some gold style earrings to finish off the look. I absolutely love how simple yet impactful this look is and one of these days I’ll wear it to a work meeting for sure!
FLORAL

Jeans & Top – Vero Moda, Jacket – Forever 21, Bag – Bata, Heels – Charles & Keith
I think light floral tops and white denim is a combination made in fashion heaven. It’s just one of those combos that will never go wrong. Florals add a pretty, feminine touch and the white denims keep the look bright and playful. For this look, I paired this Vero Moda floral shirt with jeans and threw on a denim jacket to look like I put more thought in my outfit than I actually did. I love floral prints, and especially those that come in bright colors – I mean if you are as well wearing floral, let’s not be gloomy about it! This look is one I’ll wear in a heartbeat, keeping the clothes and shoes simple and muted, and adding some vibrance to the look with dangling earrings and some stacked necklaces!
Doesn’t this shirt remind you of Cherry Blossoms?
STRIPES
Striped tops are another wardrobe staple. On days when you don’t feel very inspired, wear a striped shirt with denim and complete the look with heels – I can bet you it’s going to work, it’s such a classic look. I love mixing black and white, it’s an easy combination and it hardly ever disappoints. I picked up this black & white striped shirt from Zara during sale – it’s loose, light, cropped and very comfortable. I’ve ordered a pair of cigarette black pants and I can’t wait to wear them together. Anyhoo, coming to this look, I just played with the black and white, adding black boots and a black bag to complete the look. I visualized this look with a black backpack but I am yet to find one for myself, so we have to make do.

Jeans – Vero Moda, Shirt – Zara, Boots – Top Shop, Bag – Accessorize
That’s all for this time folks, hope you enjoyed and see you next time!
