Salwar Suit : Biba | Earrings & Hand Harness : Style Fiesta | Shoes : Old

First of all, a VERY HAPPY DIWALI to everyone reading this post 🙂

It’s the best time of the year and Diwali (minus the firecrackers) is my favoritest festival. The lights, the colors, the rangoli, the lip smacking sweets and mom’s best dishes all work to making it epic, every single year. Keeping all the above in mind you need to pick out that awesome ethnic outfit that can take you from the pooja, to the massive dinner and then the night long taash parties. For this post, I wanted to put together a quick outfit inspiration post for Diwali’s shot in the flower market in Kolkata. It was probably some of the most embarassing moment(s) of my life but what the heck, I love the flowers in the picture and how they provided such an awesome contrast to the outfit.

Also, this time my dear friend from college, Bharat, shot the pictures. He’s an amazing and passionate photographer and do give his FB page a dekko!

For the accessories I wanted to keep it simple yet effective, so I chose these statement earrings and hand harness that I picked up recently from Stylefiesta. The earrings are quite statement making, so everything else about the look was muted letting these gorgeous earrings have their moment.

For the suit itself, when I stepped foot into Biba the other week I just knew I had to have it. I love the color, the benarasi work on it and how simple but beautiful the combination is. Paired with nude shoes it’s a complete package and I would wear it happily to any Diwali party!
