White is my absolute favorite color, and a double shot of that is doubly exciting. This color instantly lifts my mood and calms me down. It’s no news that white is THE color for summer. It let’s your skin breathe while you bask in the glow of the sun. For this post I added my own spin to this western trend by pairing a white kurta with white churidar. It’s a super simple look, but I want to show you two different ways of rocking white on white in an Indian avatar.
For the first look, I went for an all-white look with silver accessories and a bright red lip. If you are big on statement jewelry, white will be your best friend. Keeping that in mind, I added this trinket necklace to my white ensemble to add that element of interest and paired it with silver shoes to keep the color scheme intact. Finish that off with a red lip and a red clutch and you have a semi-formal look to point. Wear this to a Mehendi and you’ll stand out amongst all that color. One of the tips to keep in mind while planning an all-white outfit is to incorporate that one burst of color in multiple aspects of your look. In my case, it was the red lip and the red clutch.
Coming to the second look, such a fun one – I had a blast shooting this! Carrying on from where we left off in the first look, this time I added some pink accents to brighten up this white on white look. I bought this pink leheriya dupatta from my recent visit to Jaipur and I want to wear it everywhere. It’s girly and fun and beautiful. It also is the perfect foil to this all-white look and a perfect addition for a day in the sun. To finish off the look, I added strappy silver sandals and some edgy white earrings to round off the look. Having one focal point of interest while keeping the rest of the look simple is a sure-shot win. Avoid clutter and embrace warmth.
See you next weekend!
