The Crochet Hem Crop Top | Part 1

Hey Everyone!

I’m so excited that after months of procrastination, contemplation and deliberation I’m finally a part of the blogging world! But you know what they say right, better late then never ūüôā And now that I’m here, I’m going ¬†to make the most of it!

Today as I begin my journey as a blogger I want to talk a little about why I chose to blog about fashion. Of course, I, like most other girls is interested in fashion, styling, clothes and accessories. But, one of the main reasons I chose to blog about my personal style was that like food, sleep and maybe a shower, fashion is a core daily element – you have to go to work, go for a walk, go for an appointment, attend someone’s wedding and ….yes yes, I know you get the point, you have to put something on!

More importantly, I have been inspired and I want to share that inspiration with all of you – I have been following some amazing fashion bloggers in the past year or two, getting inspired daily by their unique sensibilities of style and getting more and more fascinated by the concept of fashion, seeing how everybody brings out aspects of their personality merely through clothes, jewelry and the works.

And so, I want this blog to be an expression about my personality, my moods and my thoughts through my choices in fashion. And in the midst of all this, if I manage to inspire even one of you, I’d sleep happy – so, let’s get started!!

——————————

For my first post, I will be sharing 1 of 2 looks focused around my new crop top that I’ve been obsessed with! It’s a basic piece which gets that extra edge due to the crochet detail and trust me, that makes such a difference. Ever since I laid hands on it, I had so many ideas about how I could style it and so, here I am sharing one of those looks with you.

In this look, I paired the top with a high waisted aztec print skirt, with my loyal silver thong flats and a powder blue sling bag picking up from the other colors on the skirt. I finished the look off with these snazzy mirrored sunglasses which just took this look a few notches up. With all that going on, I skipped adding any accessories.

I love this look, because it’s fun, it’s simple, it’s me and it’s just very happy (just like I am to start this blog). Go ahead and enjoy, and please do leave your thoughts and comments – I’d love to know what you guys thought of my first attempt!

Until next time…
